Hi all,
as I start to use PyTone more and more for my DJing I wanted to put your attention to an underestimated function which is not yet discussed a lot here although I think it could be optimized (if time permits it of course) a little bit more: the *search*-function ...
I would *love* to have those features in the search-function:
- the ability to use it everywhere and not only inside the songs-window Isn't it possible to use the database for any search-operation as it is already in the memory as I suppose?
- a separate window with all the results of the search-operation that I can use for prelistening and queueing as needed
- an history of the searches I processed at least for the current PyTone-session
Again this is only a question to look at the possibilities as I am only a user and not a programmer and therefore not able to transform my whishes in some useable software ;-)
Joerg, are you willing to have a look at this? Do you think it is possible at all? Or is it simply to much work to implement something like that?
I hope I am not too rude to ask for this but hey I love this program and I think it would just make it even more valuable!! ;-)
Greetz Stefan
========================================================= My very personal wishlist for Pytone - just ignore it ;-) ========================================================= * BPS recognition Show the bits per seconds from a song in the MP3 info window
* Indicate time when playlist will stop Show not only the entire time a playlist will last but as well the daytime it will end :)
* Modifiable playlists Modify/delete playlists
* Pause between tracks
* Some sort of replaygain
* Extended search function -- Stefan Wimmer swimmer@xs4all.nl
