Hi,
Can we also make sure that a
./setup.py install
actually works ?
Now by default the pytone script looks like:
#!/bin/sh python src/pytone.py "$@"
Which gets me:
[dag@rhun ~]$ pytone python: can't open file 'src/pytone.py': [Errno 2] No such file or directory
I'm sure we have been before as well.
Kind regards, -- dag wieers, dag@wieers.com, http://dag.wieers.com/ -- [all I want is a warm bed and a kind word and unlimited power]

Maybe, but probably due to lack of a better solution (which would require some disutils hackery), it was left as it is. In principle, one could imagine overloading the install_scripts class of distutils, creating the right wrapper scripts on the fly. The problem is that distutils is rather poorly documented.
