BTW I'm having lots of problems with the high-encoding characters encoded in UTF-8 . Is it a known problem of the curses module or is it a problem in pytone ?

Hmm, I'm not sure what you mean. Are you talking about the gettext support? I had to replace the encoding by ISO-8895-1 to be able to compile the po file.

Hmm, I'm not sure what you mean.
The screenshot might be helpfull. Notice how the display is screwed after the high-encoding characters.
I'm using pytone in a full UTF8 environment, the xterm is using an utf-8 font, the names in the ogg files are encoded in UTF-8 (as specified by musicbrainz) and so I think in the database they also are encoded in UTF8.
But after some googling I found my answer. This is a curses module bug.
