That's why I would go to something like:
Crossfading disabled, 2 seconds silence Eg: AAAA BBBB
songfade = 0 songgap = 2Fade-out and fade-in of 2 seconds before the song ends, and 2 secs on song start-up. 4 seconds duration, no silence Eg: AAAaabbBBB
songfade = -2 songgap = 0Fade-out and fade-in of 2 seconds, with 2 second pause in between. 6 seconds duration of which 2 seconds silence Eg: AAaa bbBB
songfade = -2 songgap = 2Crossfading enabled, 2 second fade-out, 2 second fade-in, with 2 second overlap (1 second each) 4 seconds duration of which 2 seconds crossfade Eg: AAAaxxbBBB
songfade = -2 songgap = -2I hope this explains it a bit. To me what still confusing is the fact that the songfade (or whatever other name) is counted twice (both for the fade-out and the fade-in), while the songgap is counted only once.
But with these 2 options you can describe all the different situations (at least where the fade-out and fade-in has the same duration, otherwise you need at least 3 options, which is less confusing but probably nobody cares about it).
What do people think about this ?
Works for me. Anyhow...
I think, it is not self-explanatory. So the config file has to be well documented.... :)
Why negative values for the songfade?
