Hi all,
I underestimated the Ogg Vorbis user community, so here comes a next pre-release which should work better ;-) with Ogg Vorbis files:
http://www.luga.de/pytone/download/PyTone-3.0.0-pre2.tar.gzIn fact, it should work so well that I would appreciate to know whether tags like ReplayGain, tracknumber (partial/total), disknumber (partial/total), bpm, ... works. Just use a well-tagged file and check whether the information provided by the detailed file view (press "?") is complete. The documentation on these things is so scarce that I had to do quite some blind guessing.
Btw, please also test the completeness of information for MP3 files. If there are problems, please tell me whether you're using the mutagen or the eyeD3 module.
Have fun, Joerg
Sorry for the late answer :-/
this pre-release *can* read the OGG files but there is still one problem: it can't read any special characters like á, é, ó, ñ and so on ... at least it does not display them neither in the filesystem list, the playlist or in the songinfo :-/
Btw. skipping support for playlists forces me to keep using 2.3.0 anyway since it is essential for my work as DJ and teacher :-/
Keep up the good work!
Thank you Stefan -- Stefan Wimmer swimmer@xs4all.nl
